The Basic Procedure for Ball Valve Selection

First of all, We should know about the charters to a ball valve:
- Structure is Simple
- Open or Close is fast
- Convientent to Oprate
- Small dimenison, light weight, few spare parts, small hydraulic resistance, excellent seal performance.
Based on above advantages.
The basic procedures to choose a ball valve is as follows:
- Suitable for media temperature below 150 degree. high pressure and high viscosity.
- Can not used for adjusting
- Used for requiring of closing sharply
- It's recommended using ball valve in the situations like double position adjusting, strictly seal performance, and the media is abrasive, and so on.
- It's also used in the media with corrosive and low pressure.
- The most suitable valve in the low temperature environment, but in such equipments, it's better to add bonnet on it.
- Most of ball valve could be used in the media with floating solid granulars. it's also applicable for powdery or granular media in the certain enviroment.
- The seat materials of float ball valve should be capable for bearing the working load of ball and working pressure. for large diameter valve, it's should choose worm gear mechanism.
- Large diameter above 200 millimeter, should choose fixed ball valve.

In the petrochemical corrosive media, it is better to use stainless stell and PTFE as it's seal pairs.
- Q1(4)1f-16 less than 150℃ for water and oil;
- Q41F-16C water oil;
- Q41F-16P Nitric acid, and others acids
- Q41-16R Acetic acid.
